Update regarding the Planning and Building Regulations (Building Permits) - 2016

Dear Members,

We wish to notify you that, according to Amendment 101 of the Planning and Building Law, the Planning and Building Regulations (Building Permit) - 2016 have recently come into effect. These regulations provide new instructions concerning some aspects of submitting applications for a permit, emphasizing the new methods and entities that had recently come into being (such as the “accessible licensing system”, the “building control institutes”, etc).

These regulations are highly significant and reflect real reforms in various matters, including regulation of instructions for the following topics:

A) Permit application processes (focus on the accessible licensing system);
B) Duties of the supervising inspector and their manner of execution;
C) Duties and authorities of the execution inspection manager;
D) Content control.

The organization has been working with relevant representatives at the planning administration for several months (including meeting participation), and will continue to do so once the scope and impact of the changes are clear.

IOCEA legal counsels are currently examining the new regulations and, accordingly, are formulating and preparing a full update concerning the new and unique instructions determined by these regulations, which will be sent to organization members after the holiday season.

 Best regards,
IOCEA office
