Morality of Payments Law

Over the years, the organization, through its representative in the Knesset committee, Adv. Avraham Poraz, closely followed up on promoting this bill and made sure that works performed by engineers and architects would not be excluded from the law, meaning that payment for such works would be made no later than 30 days of the end of the month in which the bill was given.

Such efforts have been fruitful, and on Thursday, 30.2.17, the “Morality of Payments Law”, designed to regulate the payments dates of public entities for various providers, passed its second and third reading. And indeed, the planners’ work (as separate from contracting work) were not excluded from the general provisions of the law.

The law will come into effect on 30 June 2017, and with regards to the contracts of state authorities, government ministries, the Israeli Sports Betting Board, 'Mifal HaPais' and local authorities – on 30 July 2017.
For your information, below is a summary of inquiries sent by our organization through the legal counsel regarding this issue.

Sincerely,
Lior Bar-On, Adv.
