Dear members,
As part of our ongoing work and meetings with the office of the accountant general at the Ministry of Finance, we are happy to report that last night we conducted an initial introductory meeting with Mr. Yossi Itzkovich, chief deputy to the accountant general, and his professional staff. It should be noted that the meeting took place following the previous meeting with head of the national committee on finance, Prof. Avi Simhon (see update from 13.09.16) in which we laid out the impediments standing in the way of the development of the infrastructure field in Israel with regards to engineering and architecture.
In this meeting with Mr. Itzkovich we presented the accumulating gaps between work hour values for 'planners in construction work' and the need for their immediate minimization. Many other issues were raised concerning impediments in various interactions and collaborations, and the development of the field of engineering and architecture in Israel.
It should be noted that the meeting was productive and was very positive. By the end of the meeting it was decided that the issues raised by the IOCEA will be examined and determined by the accountant general accordingly.
