Economic Competition Law
The Israel Organization of Consulting Engineers & Architects works continuously to raise professional standards in the sector and to advance its members’ rights and business interests. As part of this, the Organization is committed to promoting free and fair competition in its areas of activity. It views competition as essential to strengthening professionalism in the sector and protecting the business interests of all its members.
The Organization therefore attaches great importance to complying with competition law and conducting its activities lawfully and responsibly. This applies both toward its members and toward external parties, including government authorities, regulators, professional partners, and any other party.
As part of its commitment to comply with the Economic Competition Law, 1988, the Organization maintains and implements a competition law compliance program, as well as an internal compliance procedure and a structured annual work plan in this area. Additionally, the Organization regularly publishes updates and procedures on the subject for its members to raise awareness within the Organization and among its members, and to ensure proper conduct in accordance with the law. To meet these commitments, the Organization receives ongoing guidance from external legal counsel, who also conduct periodic external and independent audits, as part of the Organization’s oversight and compliance mechanisms in this area.
The Organization provides a dedicated email address for members’ questions on competition law. It encourages any member with a question or concern on the subject to raise it and receive a response from the Organization and its advisors.
In this context, it should be made clear that the Organization does not instruct its members as to their commercial conduct or interfere in their commercial decisions or discretion.
